What is EFT?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), or Tapping, is a scientifically backed therapeutic method that combines elements of cognitive therapy with gentle acupressure. It involves lightly tapping on specific meridian points on the face and upper body while focusing on emotional or physical distress, helping to regulate the nervous system and release stored stress.

Research has shown that EFT can significantly reduce cortisol (the stress hormone), with studies indicating its effectiveness in managing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and chronic pain. In the UK, EFT is increasingly being integrated into clinical settings, with healthcare professionals and therapists using it as a complementary tool for emotional and psychological well-being. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has acknowledged EFT’s potential, particularly in trauma and stress management.
By stimulating the body's natural healing response, EFT helps bring balance, making it a valuable practice for both personal well-being and professional mental health interventions.
